Itinerary

  • 10:00 AM | Starbucks (Nagano Station, Zenkoji Entrance)

    Meet your guide outside the Starbucks at Nagano Station (Zenkoji Entrance).

  • 10:10 AM | Zenkoji Temple

    Explore one of Japan’s most historic temples and its atmospheric approach.

  • 11:30 AM | Lunch at Chikufudo

    Savor a local specialty meal in the heart of Obuse.

  • 12:20 PM | Hokusai-kan Museum

    Discover the works of the legendary ukiyo-e master who spent his final years in Obuse.

  • 1:20 PM | Gansho-in Temple

    See Hokusai’s spectacular Phoenix that adorns the temple's main hall.

  • 2:45 PM | Togakushi Okusha Shrine

    Walk along a majestic cedar-lined path to one of Japan’s most sacred shrines.

    It takes approximately 30 minutes to walk from the Togakushi Okusha Shrine entrance to the shrine itself (stairs included).

  • 5:00 PM | Nagano Station Drop-Off

    Conclude your journey with lasting memories of Nagano’s culture and nature.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation fee is as follows:

  • 20 days prior or more: no charge
  • 19-8 days prior: 20% of the total tour cost
  • 7-2 days prior: 30% of the total tour cost
  • 1 day prior: 40% of the total tour cost
  • The day of the tour before the tour start time: 50% of the total tour cost
  • After the tour start time / no-show: 100% of the total tour cost

In case of bad weather

No cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations due to inclement weather.

  • Tour routes will be adjusted as needed.
  • We recommend purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind. Minimum coverage is included.
  • Please wear comfortable walking attire, as you will be walking for extended periods of time.
  • In rare cases, if we cannot secure a guide, the tour may be canceled with a full refund. You will be notified at least one day in advance.
  • Participants are responsible for any damage to their personal belongings during the tour or any additional activities.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any accidents or issues that may arise during the tour.
